SUMMER PROGRAMME PORTO ACADEMY

GENERAL INFORMATION

Porto Academy is an Architecture Summer School that involves lectures, conferences, visits and classes.

For most of the participants, it is an experience of living in a new city and getting to know people from very heterogeneous contexts that almost certainly generate productive discussions and build new friendships.

Porto Academy is open to students as well as professionals worldwide.

One week between July 20 and July 27, 2018.

The official language will be English.

Fran Silvestre Arquitectos

Workshop leader

Director of the MArch programmes. UPV and TU/e of Holland architect and teacher at the Projects Department at the UPV. His office -Fran Silvestre Architects – has received different prices on several competitions, as well as the MHK first prize for the Atrium House and the Red Dot Design Award.

STEVEN HOLL
Steven Holl Architects

Lecturer

American architect with a degree in architecture from the University of Washington. He established his own studio, Steven Holl Architects, in New York City and later in Beijing. In 2014 he received the prestigious Praemium Imperiale in the category of architecture.

ADAMO FAIDEN

Workshop leader

Adamo-Faiden is an architectural office established in Buenos Aires, in 2005 by Sebastián Adamo and Marcelo Faiden. Their work were exhibited at the Chicago Architecture Biennial, the Guggenheim Museum, the Storefront for Art & Architecture in New York, and at LIGA Architecture Gallery in México, among others.
