The architect and CGI artist Alba de la Fuente has returned to the MArch Valencia Postgraduate School to deliver a new session focused on the relationship between image, architecture, and creativity. Her visit has allowed students to engage with a professional practice that positions architectural visualization within a hybrid territory between technique, research, and artistic expression.

During the lecture, she presented a selection of recent projects developed in collaboration with internationally renowned studios and creatives, including Andrés Reisinger, Charlotte Taylor, Tom Dixon, and the studio of Ricardo Bofill. These collaborations illustrated different approaches to using imagery as a tool within the creative process.

Throughout her talk, Alba de la Fuente highlighted how architectural visualization can go beyond its representational role to become a strategic instrument. In this sense, images are understood not only as a means of communicating projects, but also as a way to anticipate and construct new forms of inhabiting space, opening up possibilities that extend beyond the architectural brief.

The session offered students a contemporary perspective on the evolution of the discipline and the opportunities emerging around digital representation. Her work exemplifies how the combination of architecture, technology, and creativity enables access to new professional fields, while also encouraging reflection on the role of imagery in contemporary architecture.

Recognized for her interdisciplinary approach, Alba de la Fuente develops her work within the field of visual conceptualization, exploring new forms of representation that expand the boundaries of architecture. Through the use of tools such as 3ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects, she creates images that do not merely describe a project, but function as narrative devices capable of generating atmospheres, ideas, and scenarios.
