In recent years, the need to respond quickly, efficiently, and sustainably to urban growth has driven a new model of architectural production: the industrialization of housing.

This approach introduces construction systems that optimize resources, reduce execution times, and allow for greater control over the final result. In contrast to traditional methods, industrialized architecture brings a more efficient and precise logic, aligned with contemporary challenges of habitability, circular economy, and sustainability.

In this context, the Government of Spain has announced the creation of the City of Industrialization in Valencia, a pioneering project that aims to position the region as a hub of innovation and advanced housing production. The initiative will bring together construction companies, prefabricated system manufacturers, technology centers, and public bodies in a shared space to accelerate the sector’s transformation. The choice of Valencia reinforces its role as a key center for forward-thinking and action in shaping the future of construction.

Faced with this new paradigm, the sector needs professionals with specialized training, capable of understanding and applying the principles of industrialization with architectural, technical, and strategic insight. The transformation of how we build also demands a transformation in how we design, coordinate, and lead interdisciplinary teams. Designing under industrialized parameters is no longer optional—it is an essential skill for today’s architects.

The MArch Postgraduate Program in Industrialized Architecture is designed precisely to address this new reality. Through an applied methodology and close collaboration with leading industry companies, the program offers students a comprehensive educational experience that integrates design, technology, and advanced construction. From analyzing systematic building systems to their real-world application in housing projects, the postgraduate program equips architects to actively contribute to this structural shift. Studying at MArch means anticipating the future of architecture—from the very city that is now leading its transformation.
