The Salone del Mobile Milan Fair 2025, taking place from April 8 to 13 at Fiera Milano Rho, stands out this year for the much-anticipated Euroluce Biennial, dedicated to the world of lighting.
This edition will bring together more than 300 exhibitors from 25 countries, showcasing the latest innovations in lighting design, technology, and sustainability. Additionally, the first edition of the Euroluce International Lighting Forum will be held, featuring two days of masterclasses and roundtable discussions with international experts in lighting design.
One of the standout events within Euroluce is the installation titled La dolce attesa, created by acclaimed director Paolo Sorrentino in collaboration with set designer Margherita Palli. Located at the entrance of pavilions 22-24, the piece explores the concept of waiting as a metaphor for existence, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a timeless space that reflects the beauty of suspended moments. Sorrentino describes waiting as “an agony,” but also as “an astonishing and fascinating journey.”
Several exhibition stands also stand out for their innovation and design, making them must-sees for interior design enthusiasts. Gandia Blasco Group, located in Hall 20, Stand B01/C06, presents its latest collections in a space designed with organic and reusable materials, evoking a connection with nature. Among the new pieces are ARENA, designed by Søren Rose, and ONSEN, a collaboration between Francesco Meda and David Quincoces, which reflect the essence of sophisticated and functional outdoor furniture.
Meanwhile, Poliform, located in Hall 9 – A05 A09 C06 C12, showcases a proposal that reaffirms its refined and exclusive aesthetic, with an innovative design concept that redefines contemporary spaces. In Hall 20, Edra captivates with its A’mare collection by Jacopo Foggini, presented in a multisensory setting with mirrors and screens that enhance the perception of its iconic pieces. Glas Italia also stands out with its glass creations designed by Philippe Starck and Patricia Urquiola, where tables, consoles, and mirrors play with transparency and light to create surprising effects.
Lastly, the Karimoku stand, designed in collaboration with Norm Architects and Keiji Ashizawa Design, is a tribute to the harmony between Japanese tradition and Nordic aesthetics. In its 130-square-meter space, the Japanese firm recreates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, highlighting the quality of its materials and its commitment to craftsmanship. All these stands offer a comprehensive view of current trends in interior design and furniture, making Salone del Mobile 2025 an unmissable experience for those seeking inspiration and innovation in the design world.
Parallel to the Salone del Mobile, the city of Milan comes alive with Fuorisalone, a series of events and exhibitions spread across various design districts. Throughout the week, more than 100 showrooms and galleries open their doors to the public, offering an immersive experience that complements the main fair. Fuorisalone has established itself as an essential platform for discovering emerging trends and fostering connections among professionals and design enthusiasts.
