The creative studio PalauGea, formed by Ana Gea and Víctor Palau, gave a lecture for MArch Valencia students, sharing their most outstanding works, including the digital news outlet specialized in design, Gràffica.

During their presentation, they shared projects such as the aforementioned Gràffica web platform, which is currently the most visited digital medium on graphic design in the Spanish-speaking world. In addition to its online development, they also discussed how they brought it into a physical format through a magazine, and commented on other parallel editorial projects: ¡Mússica! and Öbjetto.

These are not the only projects of this type developed by the studio, as they have worked on others like ‘Universo de Emociones’ (Universe of Emotions). Created alongside Eduard Punset, this project merges art, science, psychology, and design to help understand and manage over three hundred human emotions. They also discussed the book ‘Vivir del diseño’ (Living from Design), written by Ana Gea herself, which has become a comprehensive guide for creative professionals wishing to manage their careers with knowledge and judgment. Throughout its pages, it addresses key topics such as client management, negotiation, team leadership, communication, decision-making, and the emotional aspects of creative work, offering an honest and useful look at professional life in the design sector.

Another project they spoke about was the coordination and design of the COTEC book and gala, a laborious effort that achieved excellent results. They also discussed the redesign of the visual identity for the 2018 COTEC Annual Report, a proposal in which each of the 1,500 printed copies featured a unique cover, reinforcing the value of the one-of-a-kind in an institutional publication.

Lastly, they shared their work on the documentary titled ‘El futuro del ayer’ (The Future of Yesterday), which they filmed in recent years, giving a voice to prominent figures from the worlds of design and culture. This documentary is available to watch on La Caixa’s digital platform.
