With the start of the M03_Construct module, Estefanía Soriano has shared with the students a very direct and approachable perspective on how an architectural project is developed.

Throughout the sessions, she has presented the different stages a project goes through, explaining both the procedures that are set in motion and the role of the various elements involved in the process. She has also explained the working methodology at Fran Silvestre Arquitectos: from the arrival of a new commission to the moment the building becomes a reality, focusing not only on the initial idea but also on the importance of managing costs properly at each stage.

Another key topic has been the regulatory framework. Estefanía explained how they work to comply with current regulations and introduced the main platforms they use to consult technical documentation. This helped students understand how to correctly apply regulations and which aspects need to be clear before starting to design. In addition, the sessions explored how technical documentation is organized and produced in the studio, a structure that allows all project information to be managed in a clear, orderly, and efficient way.

During the sessions, a very interesting space for exchange was also created among the students, who were able to discuss questions and real cases with Estefanía. This made it possible to connect theory with the practical situations that arise in the day-to-day work of a studio, reinforcing the idea that a good project is not only a good idea, but also a well-structured process. This close and practical approach made the beginning of the module an engaging experience, encouraging students to continue delving deeper into each of the phases involved in building architecture.

Estefanía Soriano is an architect graduated from ETSAV with an outstanding academic record. She has been a Projects professor at UPV and has been part of Fran Silvestre Arquitectos since 2014. Today, she is an associate and director of one of the studio’s teams, where she has led well-known projects such as Casa Hofmann and Casa Espejo de Agua. Her precision, her understanding of detail, and her commitment to excellence make her work a benchmark for those seeking to combine design, rigor, and quality in every project.
