The CTAV will host the event “Architecture and City: An Evening on Neuroarchitecture,” focused on how spaces influence our physical, emotional, and mental behavior.

On Monday, September 22, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., the CTAV (Calle Hernán Cortés, 6, Valencia) will hold the event “Architecture and City: An Evening on Neuroarchitecture,” organized by the Neuroarchitecture Laboratory of the Universitat Politècnica de València in collaboration with the Fundació del Disseny de la Comunitat Valenciana, Actiu, the Arquia Foundation, and the Colegio Territorial de Arquitectos de València. The event aims to reflect on how we perceive architectural spaces and how they affect our physical, emotional, and mental behavior.

The program begins with a presentation of the Neuroarchitecture Laboratory, followed by a conversation between Carmen Linares, Juan Luis Higuera, Soledat Berbegal (Actiu), and Anna Ferrer. Later, starting at 8:00 p.m., the book Espacio, cuerpo y mente by Ana Mombiedro will be presented, followed by a round table with Sol Candela, Juan Luis Higuera, and Nuria Matarredona.

It is worth noting that last year, the Neuroarchitecture team of the UPV, in collaboration with FSA, developed an experimental project within the context of NIU Houses. This experience brings highly relevant practical knowledge to the laboratory and will enrich the discussions during the event, as it exemplifies how theoretical principles of neuroarchitecture can be applied to housing, exploring how interior space design can improve users’ well-being, quality of life, and sensory perception.

Admission will be free until capacity is reached. For those interested in the relationship between architecture, emotional design, and the city, this event offers an opportunity to hear academic and professional voices, connect theory with real practices, and debate the future of the spaces we inhabit. If you’re interested, I can create a promotional text for social media highlighting the participation of the UPV-FSA experimental project.
