We recently celebrated the closing ceremony at Espai Alfaro, marking the end of the 2026-2027 academic year. Surrounded by Andreu Alfaro’s iconic sculpture park and in an atmosphere filled with emotion, students, families, and members of the MArch faculty gathered to crown a year of intense work, learning, and transformation. The event featured the presence of José Manuel Ferrero, CEO of Estudi{H}ac and a regular lecturer at the school, who served as the patron of this graduating class, offering an inspiring perspective on the professional future opening up before them.

The setting of Espai Alfaro served once again as the ideal backdrop to reflect on the journey undertaken over these months. Beyond recognizing academic rigor and the dedication poured into the workshop, the celebration honored the shared life and community forged across different cultures, languages, and ways of understanding design. It was a moment to look back with satisfaction while eagerly envisioning the first steps of a new professional chapter.

One of the most moving moments of the day came with the speeches by students Marcos Tudela, Eliseo Zavadiska, and Maria Christa Dy, who addressed their peers on behalf of the entire class. Through their words, they recalled anecdotes, travel memories, shared doubts, and the bond born in the studio, synthesizing the collective feeling of a group that arrived as individuals and today leaves as a true family.

The ceremony concluded with the traditional and anticipated presentation of diplomas to each student by Maria Masià. This formal gesture symbolizes the completion of an immersive educational journey in architecture and design, while certifying the students’ commitment to the values of excellence, rigor, and sensitivity that define the school.

Following the ceremony, attendees enjoyed a relaxed gathering in the courtyard, celebrating the connections made and reaffirming that MArch does not end with a degree. The doors of Espai Alfaro will remain open to a graduating class that, from this day forward, becomes an indelible part of this place’s history.
