Exhibition on Siza and Niemeyer in Matosinhos

A photography exhibition by José Roberto Bassul titled Siza & Oscar: para além do mar (Siza and Óscar: Beyond the Sea) opened on September 7 at the Casa de Arquitectura de Matosinhos.
In it, Bassul, taking advantage of the talent transformed into architecture of these two Pritzker Prize winners, takes as a starting point a construction by Óscar Niemeyer on Portuguese soil and another by Álvaro Siza on Brazilian soil, analyzing them from his photographer’s eye.
Visitors will be able to enjoy around 28 works that pay photographic tribute to two icons of modernist architecture and create an abstract visual dialogue between the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer in Portugal and that of Siza in Brazil.
