Fran Silvestre Arquitectos has presented a new residential project in Alicante, a single-family home articulated through the logic of its program and its precise placement along one of the city’s main avenues. The proposal responds clearly to the conditions of the site, establishing a precise functional organization and an architecture that strengthens the relationship between interior space, garden, and light.

The house is structured into three clearly differentiated areas: the night area, the day area, and a space dedicated to training and sport. This organization gives each area its own identity while ensuring spatial continuity that reinforces the coherence of the whole. The architecture is strategically positioned along the western edge of the plot. This slight displacement allows the extension of the outdoor space connected to the living area, enhancing its relationship with the garden and the swimming pool. At the same time, this placement preserves the existing large trees, which are complemented by new plantings that will consolidate into a rich and mature garden over time. The main access is located on the eastern side, through a quieter street, reinforcing the privacy of the home.

Between the day area and the sports area, a transitional space is arranged, oriented almost north–south, which facilitates cross ventilation and acts as a spatial connector. The night area, meanwhile, is oriented to the east, establishing a direct relationship with the morning light and reinforcing the domestic character of the spaces. One of the defining features of the project is the volumetric configuration of the main living space. Two lower volumes frame a larger central body corresponding to the living area, which appears to rise above the composition, emphasizing its presence and giving identity to the proposal. The thickness of this element allows a deep structural system to be integrated within it, enabling the main space to span its full width without intermediate supports, creating an open and continuous environment

The day area is thus conceived as a fluid space in close relationship with the exterior paving and the water surface, dissolving the boundary between inside and outside and reinforcing the open character of the house. Inside, the project is defined by a continuous and warm chromatic palette. The incorporation of ash wood in vertical surfaces and furniture elements introduces texture and depth, while the color temperature of the lighting contributes to creating a calm and domestic atmosphere.

This new project reflects the characteristic approach of Fran Silvestre Arquitectos, where architecture emerges from the understanding of place and program, and materializes into a proposal that goes beyond functionality to construct a precise spatial experience, balanced and deeply connected to light.
