Renowned designer and MArch program lecturer, Francesc Rifé, has conceived SteLo as Uecko’s new wardrobe system, redefining the concept of bespoke furniture within luxury interior design.
At its presentation during Feria Hábitat Valencia, Rifé revealed his intention for SteLo to go beyond a functional piece of furniture: it is a flexible and modular system that interacts with the architectural space, integrating itself with lightness, verticality, and precision. The name derives from the Italian word stelo—“stem”—and this botanical metaphor is reflected in the visual structure: refined lines, sober geometries, and a presence that seems to grow elegantly from floor to ceiling.
One of SteLo’s most striking qualities is its adaptability. Rather than isolated pieces, it consists of modules that can be combined and arranged in different ways: as wardrobes, as open or closed dressing rooms, with varying heights, materials, and finishes. Rifé plays with harmonious proportions to achieve visual impact and serenity—an aesthetic that complements rather than dominates. Moreover, the design embodies sensitivity to both the functional and emotional dimensions: the user does not merely use it but inhabits, perceives, and feels it.
Alongside SteLo, Uecko took advantage of Feria Hábitat to showcase the evolution of its Nara collection, introducing innovative elements such as integrated lighting and backlit stones, enriching the sensory experience of interior spaces. The goal is not only to create a beautiful object but to shape atmosphere—light effects, shadows, and textures as essential components of contemporary high-end furniture design. In this sense, the Rifé–Uecko collaboration bridges the artisanal and the technological, the practical and the poetic.
Finally, Uecko’s technical ambition also stood out with the presentation of the world’s tallest wardrobe, measuring 6.43 meters and recognized by Guinness World Records. This is more than a record-breaking piece—it is a statement of intent: that Spanish craftsmanship, united with engineering precision, can produce monumental works without losing sensitivity or quality. With SteLo, and strengthened by Rifé’s vision, the brand positions itself as one of the most relevant voices in today’s luxury furniture landscape—innovative, emotional, and fully committed to excellence.
