The 2026–2027 academic year has kicked off with module M01_Comunicar, specifically with the Graphic Composition session, taught by Sevak Asatrian, which introduced students to visual design from a practical perspective directly applied to architectural work.

The class, combining theory and practice, served as an introduction to the fundamentals of editorial and digital design, focusing on building coherent and expressive visual pieces that can be extrapolated both to architecture and design studios and to potential professional commissions.

Throughout the session, essential topics were addressed, such as page layout, the use of grids, hierarchical content arrangement, and typographic selection. These elements—fundamental to any visual communication process—were covered from a technical and functional approach, highlighting how they influence the clarity and legibility of a graphic project.

The workflow enabled each student to experiment with different visual structures while reflecting on the intention and message of their graphic proposals. The digital environment thus became a natural extension of their creative process.

In addition, works by renowned designers such as Ibán Ramón and David Cercós were analyzed, serving as benchmarks for understanding how design principles are applied in real-world contexts. These references allowed students to observe the effectiveness of strong composition and the importance of detail, offering them a professional perspective on the level of precision required by any well-resolved visual piece.
