HW Studio has been included in the AD100 2025 list by Architectural Digest Mexico and Latin America, which highlights the one hundred most influential firms and professionals in architecture, landscape, and interior design in the region.
This recognition celebrates projects that not only redefine the way we inhabit spaces but also transform our relationship with the natural and urban environment. For HW Studio, this distinction marks an important milestone in its trajectory.
The studio was founded in Morelia, Mexico, by architect Roger Bores, an alumnus of the MArch program class of 2018/2019, whose education and vision have shaped the development of an architectural practice that was already coherent, sensitive, and deeply rooted in place. From the beginning, HW Studio has been characterized by an approach that combines conceptual rigor with a strong emotional and material connection to the landscape.
Among the studio’s most representative projects are Casa Ensō and Casa Emma, works that have received international attention for their formal sobriety, conscious use of materials, and harmonious dialogue with the natural context. These projects, along with other residential, cultural, and small-scale interventions, reveal an architecture that seeks calm, balance, and contemplation, without losing its deep poetic and technical strength.
The inclusion of HW Studio in the AD100 list not only validates the studio’s work internationally but also consolidates its position as one of the most compelling emerging voices in the Latin American architectural scene, while reinforcing the teaching imparted in the various MArch programs. With a practice increasingly recognized for its authenticity and coherence, HW Studio continues to build an inspiring trajectory that reflects the talent and sensitivity of a new generation of architects.
