Ibán Ramón, graphic designer and MArch lecturer, has been awarded a Bronze Laus Award in the Branding category for the visual identity developed for Espai Guastavino.
The project, commissioned by the Colegio Territorial de Arquitectos de Valencia (CTAV), was recognized by the ADG-FAD (Association of Art Directors and Graphic Designers) for its conceptual, formal, and technical excellence—redefining the graphic image of a key institution in Valencian architecture and culture.
The awarded proposal is built around a contemporary geometric typeface and a restrained color palette. The use of yellow—a color historically linked to the CTAV—is reinterpreted with clarity and visual rigor. The graphic system also features a modular, flexible symbol that allows for multiple applications across print, digital, and spatial formats, reinforcing brand coherence.
The Laus jury particularly praised the project’s ability to translate the values of a space that seeks to connect architecture, citizenship, and culture into a strong visual language. Ramón’s work not only meets the functional needs of an institutional identity but also transcends them through a symbolically rich graphic solution that delivers a contemporary image without losing the institution’s visual memory.
With this new recognition, Ibán Ramón adds yet another award to his established career in graphic design—marked by numerous nationally and internationally acclaimed projects. His approach, rooted in formal synthesis, typographic precision, and contextual sensitivity, continues to position him as one of the most relevant voices in contemporary visual design.
