The Associació de Professionals del Disseny de la Comunitat Valenciana (ADCV) is preparing for a key moment in its history: the official unveiling of its new visual identity, designed by acclaimed designer and MArch guest speaker Ibán Ramón.

The event, taking place on June 6th, will coincide with the celebration of the association’s 40th anniversary and mark the beginning of a new phase that aims to strengthen the strategic role of design within Valencian society.

Ibán Ramón was selected through an exclusive call for proposals open to ADCV members. The jury—featuring renowned figures such as Nacho Lavernia, Isa Viso, Josep Olmos, and Carmina Ibáñez—recognized Ramón’s vision and professional track record, which includes awards like the Laus, Red Dot, and recognition from the TDC of New York. Ramón has described the project as an opportunity to give the design sector an identity that reflects its importance in society.

The new visual identity also accompanies the association’s updated name, now officially known as the Associació de Professionals del Disseny de la Comunitat Valenciana, while retaining the acronym ADCV. This change reflects the organization’s evolution and its commitment to values such as sustainability, inclusion, and accessibility, highlighting design’s role in social and economic transformation.

The June 6th event will also mark the start of the 16th edition of València Disseny Week, which is being held in June for the first time to coincide with the ADCV’s official founding date. The association has prepared a diverse program of events and initiatives to celebrate the legacy of design in the region and its contribution to innovation, business competitiveness, and social well-being.
