Iberê Camargo celebrates its 15th anniversary

The Iberê Camargo Foundation Museum now celebrates 25 years since the competition for its construction was resolved (1998) and 15 years since the works were completed and it was inaugurated. These began in 2003 and lasted until 2008.

It is one of the most recognized projects of Pritzker Prize winner Álvaro Siza and the only one built on Brazilian soil. The building is primarily the realization of a series of variations. Each level is divided into two perpendicular segments by standard primary ramps. This creates a sufficient inclination. To increase the length of the ramp, the first series of variations in the formal space must be realized; this first set will determine the visual identity of the building.
