This week, students of the MArch program had the opportunity to welcome Ibán Ramón, one of the most recognized and awarded graphic designers today.
With accolades such as the LAUS Awards, ADCV Awards, Gràffica Prize, New York’s Type Directors Club, and the Red Dot Design Award, Ramón has become a prominent figure in the field of graphic design.
Although he is best known for his work in editorial design, corporate identity, and visual communication, Ibán Ramón is a versatile professional. In addition to his prolific output, he has played a key role in training new generations of designers, teaching at various institutions — including MArch — and sharing his experience to help students face the challenges of contemporary design.
During his visit, he presented a selection of his most recent projects, showcasing his creativity, refined aesthetic, and mastery of visual communication. Each example demonstrated how design can merge functionality and beauty to become a powerful communication tool.
Learning directly from a designer of Ibán Ramón’s caliber offers students a valuable insight into the world of graphic design. This encounter not only deepens their understanding of the discipline and its possibilities, but also inspires them to explore new approaches in their own work — enriching their education and motivating them to strive for excellence in their future professional careers.
