The 2026–2027 academic year has officially begun at the MArch Valencia Postgraduate School, marking the start of a new academic year filled with design, architecture, and innovation.

Students from the various master’s and postgraduate programs gathered at Espai Alfaro to begin this educational experience. This first day allowed the new international cohort to connect with their classmates, sharing initial impressions and their enthusiasm for the projects they will develop over the coming months.

In addition to the initial meet-and-greet, students had their first taste of Espai Alfaro, the venue that will serve as their daily campus. First, they were divided into groups to visit the different spaces. One group, accompanied by Andrés Alfaro Hofmann, toured the Alfaro Hofmann Product Design Collection, discovering firsthand one of the most relevant industrial design collections in Europe.

In parallel, another group moved to the classroom where lectures are held. There, program coordinator Dalia Alba provided a detailed introduction to the course dynamics, academic calendar, and methodology for the upcoming workshops and modules. With this comprehensive introduction, MArch Valencia welcomes its new global community of architects and designers.

Both tours continued through the facilities of the Fran Silvestre Arquitectos studio, allowing students to immerse themselves from day one in a high-level professional environment. Understanding how an internationally renowned architecture firm operates within its own workspace represents a fundamental core value of the school’s educational model. They also visited the scale model exhibition focused on the studio’s work, as well as the legacy of the famous sculptor Andreu Alfaro through his iconic sculpture garden.
