The ADCV has marked its forty-year history with a major transformation, beginning with a name change: it is now called the Associació de Professionals del Disseny de la Comunitat Valenciana.

Although the acronym remains the same, this new phase comes with a completely redesigned visual identity by the renowned and award-winning graphic designer Ibán Ramón, a regular speaker in MArch programs. His proposal is not just a logo, but a communication tool designed to represent the diversity and dynamism of Valencian design.

Presented during the anniversary celebration at Feria Valencia, the new identity moves away from any conventional aesthetic approach. As Ibán Ramón explained, the goal was to develop a visual system that is honest, direct, and functional. “This is not a brand image in the traditional sense, but a visual language that can accompany the thinking and action of contemporary design,” he noted. The proposal emphasizes typography and a key element: the two dots that accompany the acronym — a symbol intended to spark ideas.

The new graphic mark of the ADCV — two dots following the acronym — symbolizes the beginning of ideas and projects, allowing the identity to adapt and coexist with other initiatives of the association, such as València Disseny Week or MoDE. Its neutral, versatile design avoids visual competition, which, according to its creator, strengthens its longevity and integrative capacity.

During the presentation, Ramón Arnau and María Navarro emphasized that this new identity reflects the collective strength of the ADCV, which brings together nearly 300 professionals. Since 1985, the association has promoted design as a cultural and social engine, acting as a space that fosters ideas, connects industry professionals, and amplifies creative thinking.
