Trip to Milan and Salone del Mobile 2024

Last week the students of the MArch postgraduate degree in design and digital innovation, the MArch master’s degree in architecture, design and innovation and the MArch Advanced master’s degree in architecture, design and business administration traveled to Milan to visit the most prestigious event in terms of products. in the world: the 62nd edition of the Salone del Mobile.
Like every edition, it attracts designers, architects, manufacturers and design enthusiasts from all over the world. At the event, the latest trends in interior design, furniture, lighting and accessories were presented, highlighting stands such as Gandia-Blasco, Inbani (designed by Francesc Rifé) or Tumidei, Kahntian-inspired. In addition to the exhibition of products, the Salone del Mobile also includes conferences, exhibitions and special events that highlight creativity and innovation in the field of design, such as the one given in this edition by John Pawson.
In addition to the visit to the fair, visits were made to the Fuorisalone, traveling to the Brera neighborhoods, where they could visit showrooms such as Valcucine and Modulnova, as well as to Navigli, touring via Tortona with proposals as interesting as the one from Ikea.
The last day was dedicated to visiting emblematic buildings and spaces of the city, visiting the MUDEC of Chipperfield, the Bocconi campus of Sanaa, the Fondazione Prada of OMA, the Bosco Verticale of Stefano Boeri or the Fondazione Feltrinelli of Herzog & de Meuron .
