Visit to the Studio of Francesc Rifé and Ri House

Students from the MArch programs visited the studio of Francesc Rifé, an experience that allowed them to gain an inside look at the working dynamics and design approach of this renowned interior design studio. The visit offered a direct insight into the workspace and the processes that shape the studio’s projects.
During the tour, Eva Clérigues guided the students through the different areas of the studio, explaining the organization of the space, the team’s working logic, and the way daily work is structured. This first part helped students understand the studio as a living environment, where order, materiality, and attention to detail are an integral part of the creative process.
Following this, several members of the team shared a presentation showcasing some of the studio’s most representative projects, addressing both their conceptual development and material execution. Among them was Sergio Alfonso, a former student of the MArch Valencia Postgraduate School, whose contribution offered a particularly relatable perspective for the students, bridging the academic stage with professional practice.
After the studio visit, the group moved on to Ri House, an exhibition space created by Francesc Rifé as a natural extension of his creative universe. This space presents products designed for various brands with which the studio collaborates, carefully and coherently displayed, reinforcing the connection between design, object, and space.
The visit allowed students to gain a direct understanding of how a well-established professional practice is articulated, from the workspace to relationships with brands and the staging of design. An experience that highlights the importance of engaging with reference studios and learning through close observation of real practice..
