During the Christmas season, advertising spots become a window into creativity and visual innovation.
The creative studio Dvein, which visits the MArch programmes in architecture and design every year, has developed campaigns that stand out for their ability to combine technique, narrative and emotion. Their work goes beyond selling a product, aiming instead to create sensory experiences that connect with the viewer through striking imagery and clear concepts.
One of their most notable spots is L’OCCITANE – Cultivators of Change, in which Dvein combines high-quality photography with digital animation to create a universe that reflects sustainability, care and a connection with nature. The visual narrative guides the viewer through landscapes and processes, showing the transformation of ingredients and reinforcing the brand’s message through a poetic and immersive aesthetic.
In Jean Paul Gaultier – Welcome to the Factory, the studio unfolds a surreal and theatrical universe, blending fictional settings with real elements. The campaign explores the world of fashion as a playful and creative space, using movement, lighting and rhythmic editing to generate tension and dynamism. The result is a spot that conveys not only the brand’s identity, but also Dvein’s artistic and narrative vision as a creative studio.
Finally, the campaign WASO – All Things Beautiful Come from Nature reflects another facet of their work: the integration of natural elements and organic textures with advanced post-production techniques. The piece emphasises the relationship between product and environment, creating a visual flow in which nature becomes the protagonist. Analysing these spots allows students in the MArch programmes to understand how the combination of technique, narrative and visual experimentation can be applied to communication projects, and how architectural principles such as composition, light and space can be translated into audiovisual formats.
