Photographer and filmmaker Jesús Orrico leads the third workshop corresponding to Module 04_Digital Innovation at MArch Valencia. After previously tutoring students in photoshooting techniques during the sessions of Module 01_Communication, Orrico returns to the classroom to guide the student body toward a new level of technical specialization.

On this occasion, the main objective centers on equipping future professionals with the analytical and narrative tools necessary for video content production, merging the aesthetic sensitivity of photography with the dynamism of cinematographic language. This initiative reinforces the school’s methodological commitment to hybridizing spatial creativity with contemporary, cutting-edge technology.

The practical phase of this workshop utilizes different environments and objects to divide the students into teams. Therefore, they work with sculptures by Andreu Alfaro, 1:1 scale industrialized housing prototypes, furniture pieces from brands such as Gandia-Blasco, and premium cars provided by the Jaguar – Range Rover group. All of this takes place at Espai Alfaro, a complex, real-world setting that functions as a professional-grade set where students can experiment with how avant-garde architecture, product design, and high-end automotive engineering engage in dialogue. Working in this dynamic environment allows them to understand the behavior of light and physical space when generating high-standing corporate audiovisual narratives.

On a technical level, the educational core of the exercise is based on the advanced mastery of editing applications within the Adobe suite, focusing entirely on Adobe Premiere Pro as the platform for the video post-production phase. The workshop workflow includes the capture of original footage by the students within the spaces of MArch Valencia, applying the specific lighting, composition, and framing schemes that Orrico employs in his commissions for the design and architecture sectors.

The final challenge proposes the development of a short film where the functional rigor of the architectural project coexists with an attractive and contemporary aesthetic approach. Beyond individual learning in handling specialized software, the activity promotes collective teamwork through the distribution of technical and creative roles among group members. Ultimately, this practical exercise trains students to generate innovative promotional materials aligned with the current demands of the global market, ensuring a quality standard ideal for the professional dissemination of architecture.
