The design studio that runs a workshop in MArch, Estudi{H}ac, has recently signed an agreement with the automobile company Mini, belonging to the Mercedes group, and particularly with its Mini Spain delegation, with the task of creating what will be named as a MINI space for the next edition of the Madrid Design Festival in 2024.

MArch architects and lecturers Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga, recognized with numerous awards and winners of international competitions such as the Szcezcin Philharmonic or the Chicago Art Institute, have now won the competition to develop the restoration project for the Knokke-Heist Casino , in Belgium, with the aim of turning it into a new cultural center.

The renowned Gimeno Gràfic studio, headed by Pepe Gimeno, National Design Award winner, has won the competition called for the design of the image and brand of the recently born House of Architecture.

The project arises from its implementation in the environment. The building unfolds through a very clear geometry, deviating from the concept of compact architecture. This strategy, combined with the slender proportion of the construction, allows for an increased perimeter of the dwelling's contact with the exterior, creating a system of courtyards that seems limitless.

This workshop takes place in a professional setting and has a substantive instructional component. It seeks to reconsider architecture through a diverse set of research tools.

During the past week, students from the various MArch programs had the opportunity to participate in an exciting Photoshooting workshop under the direction of the prominent architect and master in interior design Marta Andrés.

Lavernia & Cienfuegos, the Valencia-based design studio that runs one of MArch's workshops, has garnered widespread recognition thanks to its outstanding work in the field of design and creativity.

After the inspiring experience of the Thinking Through Making Workshop led by Gino Brollo last week, MArch students have continued immersed in their creative process in module 02, "Investigate", under the guidance of the prominent architect and department director creative by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos, David Cirocchi.

In the 19th edition of AD Design Icons, the MArch School alumni Juan David Ocampo has been nominated, among other candidates. With Menguante, a Lighting design proposal that seeks to involve traditional crafts and techniques, but at the same time merge them with the industry, he has obtained this selection from one of the most recognized editorial media.

The one to Venice has been the first trip of those who make up the MArch Advanced program in this 2023 2024 academic year. The Iberê Camargo Foundation Museum now celebrates 25 years since the competition for its construction was resolved (1998) and 15 years since the works were completed and it was inaugurated. These began in 2003 and lasted until 2008.

The Círculo de Bellas Artes of Madrid has decided to award the Gold Medal to the Portuguese Pritzker Prize winner Eduardo Souto de Moura.
