António Choupina visits MArch

António Choupina, Portuguese architect and founder of CH.A, is known for his close collaboration with Álvaro Siza on prominent cultural projects and his work as a curator at renowned institutions. During his recent visit to MArch, he shared with the students Siza's influence on contemporary architecture, reviewing his most iconic works and some of the projects visited in Porto.

Trip to Porto 2024 2025

Recently, MArch has undertaken a trip to Porto in order to discover the prestigious Portuguese architecture, visiting iconic works by Álvaro Siza, as well as projects by NOarq and OODA. In addition, they met prominent architects such as Correia/Ragazzi, José Carlos Oliveira and António Choupina, who shared their professional vision.

Trip to Switzerland with March Advanced students

The MArch Advanced students’ trip to Switzerland took in Zurich, Chur, Vals and Lausanne, with visits to key works by Peter Zumthor, Kengo Kuma, Barozzi Veiga, Aires Mateus and SANAA. Students explored spaces that integrate design and landscape, such as Chipperfield’s Kunsthaus Zürich, the Vals thermal baths and the Rolex Center, as well as attending an opening at the Marina Abramović retrospective.

Francesc Rifé designs the new Bousoño Vargas dental clinic

Francesc Rifé has transformed the Clínica Bousoño Vargas into a modern and serene space. Using a minimalist approach, he has created waiting areas in warm grey mortar and natural light to promote tranquillity. The stone and glass façade and the use of tinted optical glass in the interior provide continuity and clarity, while backlit elements adapt the environment to the needs of patients.

Valencia has consolidated its prestige in graphic design, particularly in poster art, with an internationally recognised creative scene. A virtual museum of Valencian posters will soon be launched, promoted by Russafart and Boke Bazán, focusing on the last two decades of production. Supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture, it will serve as a documentary archive and promotion platform for local designers, with a focus on cataloguing for students and researchers.

Veil skyscraper by RCR Arquitectes

The Veil skyscraper in Dubai, designed by RCR Architects in collaboration with Muraba, is a 380-metre, 73-storey tower that combines elegance and functionality. Inspired by traditional Arabic architecture, the stainless steel façade protects a cool, communal core, with spacious, airy homes.
