The Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) has inaugurated its new Library Building, a modern and multifunctional space that becomes the epicentre of academic training, well-being and social development of the university community. On October 10th, at 6pm at the headquarters of the Arquia Foundation in Madrid, on Calle Tutor, the documentary OAB 2005-2025 will be premiered. It delves into the projects carried out by the OAB · Ferrater studio over the last twenty years, while reflecting on the trajectory of the studio founded by Carlos Ferrater, Xavier Martí, Lucía Ferrater and Borja Ferrater.

This ambitious project involves the conversion of a former industrial slaughterhouse in Porto into a dynamic cultural, social and commercial centre, aimed at revitalising a degraded and disused space. The intervention, which covers a total of 22,000 square metres, aims to transform this industrial architectural heritage into an epicentre of activity, where creativity and urban life harmoniously intertwine.

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, one of Portugal’s most important cultural institutions, has been renovated and expanded by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. The Hipodromo Tower, located in Guadalajara, Mexico, is a project by the architectural firm and speakers from MArch OAB (Office of Architecture in Barcelona). For the second time this year, students of the MArch Advanced program in architecture, design and business administration have traveled to La Vila, in Olot, to conduct a workshop led by the prestigious studio and Pritzker Prize winner RCR Arquitectes. In February, 12 students from this same program attended the workshop, and this time another 12 will travel to La Vila.

During these days the students of the different MArch programs have been introduced to product design by Andrés Alfaro Hofmann, with an analysis of the work done by designers such as Peter Behrens, Dieter Rams, Jonathan Ive or Arne Jacobsen for companies such as AEG, Braun or Apple.
